5   When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, then his wrath was kindled.
'Eliyhuw⁴⁵³ ra'ah⁷²⁰⁰ ma`aneh⁴⁶¹⁷ peh⁶³¹⁰ shalowsh⁷⁹⁶⁹ 'enowsh⁵⁸² 'aph⁶³⁹ charah²⁷³⁴

6   And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion.
'Eliyhuw⁴⁵³ ben¹¹²¹ Barak'el¹²⁹² Buwziy⁹⁴⁰ `anah<sup>6030</sup> 'amar<sup>559</sup> tsa`iyr⁶⁸¹⁰ yashiysh³⁴⁵³ zachal²¹¹⁹ yare'³³⁷² chavah²³³¹ dea`¹⁸⁴³

7   I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.
'amar⁵⁵⁹ yowm³¹¹⁷ dabar¹⁶⁹⁶ rob⁷²³⁰ shaneh⁸¹⁴¹ yada`³⁰⁴⁵ chokmah²⁴⁵¹

8   But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.
'aken⁴⁰³ ruwach⁷³⁰⁷ 'enowsh⁵⁸² nshamah⁵³⁹⁷ Shadday⁷⁷⁰⁶ biyn⁹⁹⁵

9   Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.
rab⁷²²⁷ chakam²⁴⁴⁹ zaqen²²⁰⁵ biyn⁹⁹⁵ mishpat⁴⁹⁴¹

10   Therefore I said, Hearken to me; I also will shew mine opinion.
'amar⁵⁵⁹ shama`<sup>8085</sup> chavah<sup>2331</sup> dea`¹⁸⁴³

11   Behold, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasons, whilst ye searched out what to say.
yachal³¹⁷⁶ dabar¹⁶⁹⁷ 'azan²³⁸ tabuwn⁸³⁹⁴ chaqar²⁷¹³ millah⁴⁴⁰⁵

12   Yea, I attended unto you, and, behold, there was none of you that convinced Job, or that answered his words:
biyn⁹⁹⁵ yakach³¹⁹⁸ 'Iyowb³⁴⁷ `anah⁶⁰³⁰ 'emer⁵⁶¹

13   Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusteth him down, not man.
'amar⁵⁵⁹ matsa'⁴⁶⁷² chokmah²⁴⁵¹ 'el⁴¹⁰ nadaph⁵⁰⁸⁶ 'iysh³⁷⁶
