2   To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
yada`³⁰⁴⁵ chokmah²⁴⁵¹ muwcar⁴¹⁴⁸ biyn⁹⁹⁵ 'emer⁵⁶¹ biynah⁹⁹⁸

3   To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;
laqach³⁹⁴⁷ muwcar⁴¹⁴⁸ sakal⁷⁹¹⁹ tsedeq⁶⁶⁶⁴ mishpat⁴⁹⁴¹ meyshar⁴³³⁹

4   To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.
nathan⁵⁴¹⁴ `ormah<sup>6195</sup> pthiy<sup>6612</sup> na`ar⁵²⁸⁸ da`ath¹⁸⁴⁷ mzimmah⁴²⁰⁹

5   A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
chakam²⁴⁵⁰ shama`⁸⁰⁸⁵ yacaph³²⁵⁴ leqach³⁹⁴⁸ biyn⁹⁹⁵ qanah⁷⁰⁶⁹ tachbulah⁸⁴⁵⁸

6   To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
biyn⁹⁹⁵ mashal⁴⁹¹² mliytsah⁴⁴²⁶ dabar¹⁶⁹⁷ chakam²⁴⁵⁰ chiydah²⁴²⁰

7   The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

8   My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:

9   For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.

10   My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.
