6   To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
biyn⁹⁹⁵ mashal⁴⁹¹² mliytsah⁴⁴²⁶ dabar¹⁶⁹⁷ chakam²⁴⁵⁰ chiydah²⁴²⁰

7   The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
yir'ah³³⁷⁴ Yhovah³⁰⁶⁸ re'shiyth⁷²²⁵ da`ath¹⁸⁴⁷ 'eviyl¹⁹¹ buwz⁹³⁶ chokmah²⁴⁵¹ muwcar⁴¹⁴⁸

8   My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
ben¹¹²¹ shama`⁸⁰⁸⁵ muwcar⁴¹⁴⁸ 'ab¹ natash⁵²⁰³ towrah⁸⁴⁵¹ 'em⁵¹⁷

9   For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.
livyah³⁸⁸⁰ chen²⁵⁸⁰ ro'sh⁷²¹⁸ `anaq⁶⁰⁶⁰ gargrowth¹⁶²¹

10   My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.
ben¹¹²¹ chatta'²⁴⁰⁰ pathah⁶⁶⁰¹ 'abah¹⁴

11   If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:
'amar⁵⁵⁹ yalak³²¹² 'arab⁶⁹³ dam¹⁸¹⁸ tsaphan⁶⁸⁴⁵ naqiy⁵³⁵⁵ chinnam²⁶⁰⁰

12   Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:
bala`¹¹⁰⁴ chay²⁴¹⁶ sh'owl⁷⁵⁸⁵ tamiym⁸⁵⁴⁹ yarad³³⁸¹ bowr⁹⁵³

13   We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:
matsa'⁴⁶⁷² yaqar³³⁶⁸ hown¹⁹⁵² male'⁴³⁹⁰ bayith¹⁰⁰⁴ shalal⁷⁹⁹⁸

14   Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:
naphal⁵³⁰⁷ gowral¹⁴⁸⁶ tavek⁸⁴³² 'echad²⁵⁹ kiyc³⁵⁹⁹
