22   The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.

23   Burning lips and a wicked heart are like a potsherd covered with silver dross.
dalaq¹⁸¹⁴ saphah⁸¹⁹³ ra`⁷⁴⁵¹ leb³⁸²⁰ cheres²⁷⁸⁹ tsaphah⁶⁸²³ keceph³⁷⁰¹ ciyg⁵⁵⁰⁹

24   He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, and layeth up deceit within him;
sane'⁸¹³⁰ nakar⁵²³⁴ saphah⁸¹⁹³ shiyth⁷⁸⁹⁶ mirmah⁴⁸²⁰ qereb⁷¹³⁰

25   When he speaketh fair, believe him not: for there are seven abominations in his heart.
qowl⁶⁹⁶³ chanan²⁶⁰³ 'aman⁵³⁹ sheba`<sup>7651</sup> tow`ebah⁸⁴⁴¹ leb³⁸²⁰

26   Whose hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shewed before the whole congregation.
sin'ah⁸¹³⁵ kacah³⁶⁸⁰ mashsha'own⁴⁸⁶⁰ ra`⁷⁴⁵¹ galah¹⁵⁴⁰ qahal⁶⁹⁵¹

27   Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.

28   A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.
