7   And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding,

8   Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house,
`abar<sup>5674</sup> shuwq<sup>7784</sup> 'etsel<sup>681</sup> pen<sup>6434</sup> tsa`ad⁶⁸⁰⁵ derek¹⁸⁷⁰ bayith¹⁰⁰⁴

9   In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night:
nesheph⁵³⁹⁹ yowm³¹¹⁷ 'iyshown³⁸⁰ 'aphelah⁶⁵³ layil³⁹¹⁵

10   And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.
qir'ah⁷¹²⁵ 'ishshah⁸⁰² shiyth⁷⁸⁹⁷ zanah²¹⁸¹ natsar⁵³⁴¹ leb³⁸²⁰

11   (She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house:
hamah¹⁹⁹³ carar⁵⁶³⁷ regel⁷²⁷² shakan⁷⁹³¹ bayith¹⁰⁰⁴

12   Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)

13   So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him,
chazaq²³⁸⁸ nashaq⁵⁴⁰¹ `azaz⁵⁸¹⁰ paniym⁶⁴⁴⁰ 'amar⁵⁵⁹

14   I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows.
shelem⁸⁰⁰² zebach²⁰⁷⁷ yowm³¹¹⁷ shalam⁷⁹⁹⁹ neder⁵⁰⁸⁸

15   Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.
yatsa'³³¹⁸ qir'ah⁷¹²⁵ shachar⁷⁸³⁶ paniym⁶⁴⁴⁰ matsa'⁴⁶⁷²
